It has been redesigned and now works almost exclusively offline (to share your comments with others will require a data connection). As more an more albergues share their WiFi this becomes less of an issue, and the guide will tell you which ones offer WiFi.Accommodation Directory: A full directory of Albergues, camping, hotels, pensions, paradors, and cases rurales. Over 900 in total, with special attention to those that can be booked online.Stageless Guide:No more "stage anxiety" or guide created bottlenecks.Maps: Offline and online versions of a beautiful topographical may will give you a good view of the terrain ahead.Photos: Photos of albergues, monuments and other points of interest along the way. Currently 900+ images and growing.Scrollable Elevation Map: This one is hard to show with just a screenshot, but the elevation that appears at the top of every city page scrolls East to West. One complete elevation, from St. Jean Pied de Port to Santiago, uninterrupted by page folds.Comments: Albergue closed early for the season? Have a restaurant that you want to share, or perhaps one to warn others about? Every location in the app gives you the opportunity to leave a comment and to read the comments left by others. After much gnashing of teeth and more than a few frustrations, the recent updates should work correctly on the newest device.My deepest apologies for the pilgrims that were left with a crashing app this week. A big thanks to the pilgrims that reported the issue, and then helped to test this update.Updated content for the 2022 pilgrims. These include many uncertain closures and reopening and new prices as well as updated contact information.

I have tried my all the Camino apps. This is very much the best one. It is easy to use, easy to navigate, it has all the features, and the developer responsible works hard to keep things up to date. If you're going to hike the Camino buy good shoes, pack light, and download Wise Pilgrim!!
Ok, but the links don't seem to work on my device. Maps are unresponsive at times. Not very intuitive. Basic info is ok though.

Wise Pilgrim is the best app in my expetience.I have used it on the Frances and will be using it again for the Lisbon to Santiago Camino next May/June.
This app is ESSENTIAL for those walking the Camino Francés. The GPS map alone is worth many times what the app costs, and literally kept me on the path all the way to Santiago de Campostela. And the text guidebook is also enormously helpful and informative. Cannot imagine having done the Camino without it. HIGHLY recommended.

It Has *Everything*! Elevation map, relative locations/distances, all lodging amenities/costs/contact information, it allows individuals to leave reviews, lists unique sights to see, has detailed written walking instructions too - wow!! Why did I never have this app before?! I'm so glad it was recommended to me! Also, the creator of the app responded immediately (within minutes) to a question I emailed, very cool!
On Samsung S7 map is so slow it barely works (but Google Maps works fine). Content is very limited, the best bit is telling you the distance between places, but content on the places you are at is limited. Occasional review of albergues but again this part very slow on my phone. Try something else.
